In May 2026, staff from the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre recently participated in a tourism promotion and networking event aimed at showcasing Kanchanaburi’s diverse attractions and strengthening connections within the local tourism industry.
The event was organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Kanchanaburi Office in partnership with Serenata Hotels & Resort Group, one of the province’s leading hospitality operators. It brought together tour operators from Bangkok with local attractions, accommodation providers, and tourism businesses to explore opportunities for developing and enhancing visitor itineraries in Kanchanaburi.

Representatives from a wide range of tourism-related organisations attended the event, including hotels and resorts, private museums, river cruise operators, water sports providers, wildlife attractions, and cultural heritage sites. The gathering provided a valuable platform for participants to exchange information, build professional relationships, and highlight the unique experiences available throughout the province.
Although the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre is a government-operated, non-commercial institution, participation in the event offered an excellent opportunity to engage with tour operators and travel companies that regularly include Hellfire Pass in their tour programs. It also allowed staff to strengthen existing relationships, establish new connections, and reinforce the Centre’s presence within Kanchanaburi’s tourism landscape.
